No double charging: If your selected Dream Today Kids package already includes illustrated front-and-back-cover artwork, you will not be charged twice for this add-on.
Purchasing the cover illustration does not automatically transfer illustration copyright ownership. Copyright ownership, exclusivity, and any copyright transfer are governed by the applicable signed agreement.
Not Sure How Many Illustrations You Need?
That's okay. The number of illustrations your book needs depends on the length of your story, page count, age of your readers, and how much of the story will be communicated visually. Dream Today Studios can help determine the right illustration package for your book.
Up to 10 Illustrations
Good for shorter books and selected key scenes.
Up to 16 Illustrations
Good for books using a balanced combination of text and artwork.
Up to 24 Illustrations
Best for traditional picture-book experiences with visual storytelling throughout.
Your Characters Should Look Like Your Characters
From the first page to the last, Dream Today Studios works to maintain a consistent visual identity for your characters, including appearance, clothing, age, features, and overall illustration style based on the approved creative direction. This is especially important for children's books and is one of the benefits of using our professional illustration service.
Illustration Creative Direction
Before illustration work begins, you can share your creative preferences so the artwork reflects your vision. Preferences you may provide include:
Reference images help communicate your vision but do not automatically grant permission to reproduce copyrighted artwork, characters, photographs, or another illustrator's work. Reference images may be uploaded when appropriate during your project.
Illustration Rights
Your illustration package includes commercial book-use rights as specified in your project agreement. Purchasing an illustration package does not automatically transfer copyright ownership of the underlying artwork. Copyright ownership, exclusivity, licensing, and any copyright transfer are governed by the applicable signed agreement.
If Dream Today Studios later offers an exclusive illustration copyright purchase, it must be separately quoted and documented. We do not advertise "full rights" unless a specific written agreement actually transfers those rights.
