The Process
A guided, professional process — from the first conversation to a finished book your family can hold.
Step 1
We begin by learning about the person's life, journey, accomplishments, important relationships, and vision for the book.
Step 2
Dream Today Studios develops the direction, structure, chapter concepts, themes, and overall story arc.
Step 3
When included in the client's proposal, Dream Today Studios conducts guided interviews designed to capture stories, memories, experiences, lessons, and important moments in the client's own voice.
Step 4
The client's story is professionally developed into a compelling manuscript.
Step 5
The client may provide photographs, letters, documents, memorabilia, and other approved materials to help visually preserve the journey. Photo placement packages are available separately unless specifically included in the client's custom proposal.
Step 6
The manuscript goes through the editing and client-review process specified in the project agreement.
Step 7
The approved manuscript is professionally formatted and prepared for publication.
Step 8
Clients choose how to publish: Publishing Assistance (guidance for self-publication), a Self-Publishing Setup upgrade, or — when separately contracted — publishing by Dream Today, LLC under a signed publishing agreement.
Step 9
The completed book becomes something the client, family, supporters, readers, or future generations can preserve and share.

Pricing
Every life story is different. Legacy Book pricing is based on the length and complexity of the project, interview requirements, manuscript length, research, photographs, design needs, publishing services, and other requested features.
Legacy Books are not purchased directly through normal checkout. Dream Today Studios reviews each project and issues a personalized proposal before any work begins.
Optional Photo Services
Your Memories Belong in Your Story
Some stories are best told through both words and pictures. Add meaningful photographs from your life, family, career, ministry, music journey, milestones, and memories throughout your book.
Starting at $25 per photo
For older photographs requiring more than basic enhancement, Dream Today Studios offers advanced photo-restoration services. Pricing depends on the condition and complexity of the original image.
Dream Today Studios must review the photograph before confirming the final restoration price.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights or permissions to use photographs, documents, artwork, and other materials they provide for publication.
Submitting photographs to Dream Today Studios does not transfer ownership of the client's original photographs to Dream Today Studios or Dream Today, LLC.
The client grants Dream Today, LLC and its service providers the limited permissions specified in the applicable agreement that are necessary to prepare, reproduce, publish, distribute, and promote approved materials as part of the book project.
Photographs taken by professional photographers, publications, studios, record labels, churches, organizations, or other third parties may require permission from the applicable copyright owner. Dream Today Studios cannot promise to publish every photograph a client submits.
Rights & Publishing
We believe your story belongs to you. Here's how ownership and publishing work.
For client-owned projects, the client's signed agreement will identify ownership of the completed manuscript and any applicable copyright assignment.
Payment alone does not automatically transfer copyright. Any copyright assignment must be expressly stated in a signed written agreement.
When your book is published through Dream Today, LLC, publishing your work does not automatically mean giving up ownership of your book. Your individual publishing agreement will clearly explain your ownership, publishing rights, royalties, distribution, and other important terms before publication.
Our goal is simple: help you professionally bring your book to life while making sure you understand how your publishing arrangement works.
Your individual agreement clearly identifies who owns the copyright and other applicable rights to your completed book.
When contracted as publisher, Dream Today, LLC professionally prepares and publishes your book according to the services included in your agreement.
Any applicable royalties, revenue distribution, author compensation, and payment terms are explained in your publishing agreement before publication.
Publishing rights, distribution, formats, publishing term, and other important details are documented in your signed agreement.
When Dream Today, LLC serves as the publisher of your book, the publishing agreement will explain how book-sale revenue is collected and distributed. Depending on the project, Dream Today, LLC may receive sales proceeds from retailers or distributors and then pay the author's agreed royalty or revenue share according to the terms of the publishing agreement.
The author and publisher revenue arrangement is agreed to in writing before publication.
Your royalty rate, payment schedule, and applicable deductions will be clearly explained in your publishing agreement.
The author's royalty or revenue share will be stated in the signed publishing agreement.
Dream Today, LLC may retain an agreed portion of book-sale revenue for its role as publisher, depending on the publishing arrangement.
Where royalties are calculated from Net Receipts, the publishing agreement will clearly define what Net Receipts means and which approved expenses or deductions apply.
Author royalty statements and payments will be issued according to the schedule established in the publishing agreement.
